We are happy to announce that we have completed a substantial upgrade of our storage capacity. As a result, the retention for the binary newsgroups started to increase about 8 weeks ago. Tomorrow the retention for the binary newsgroups will reach 275 days. We expect our retention to reach 400 days this october.

The recent upgrade was realized by using a custom-made solution to accommodate the hard drives. A large number of 2TB enterprise-class hard drives - divided over several servers - have been installed and have become operational during the past few months.

Usenet-International.com doesn’t differentiate between binary newsgroups. Every binary newsgroup holds the same retention.

The retention for the text newsgroups will reach 4 years within approximately 1 month from now.
